Isla Isabela is a National Wildlife Preserve about 80 miles SSE of Mazatlán. It's a rookery for frigate birds and blue-footed boobies. (The specks you see on some of these photos are birds, not dust on the lens.) The snorkeling in the warm, clear water was fantastic, too.

This is where we spent Thanksgiving enjoying a potluck feast aboard Capricorn Cat together with the crews of four other sailboats: Endless Summer, Eupsychia, La Sirena, and Snow Goose.
