Kiel Canal, Germany (May 2009)
We only spent two days on the canal proper. The rest of the week we took for the transit was spent in Büdelsdorf or at anchor. Yet, it was a memorable two days.
There was a lot of commercial traffic. The scenery was very different from Holland: we could go under bridges instead of waiting for them to open for us. Birds and ferries were plentiful.
