CostaRica (February 2008)
Approaching Golfito, we were met by coconuts drifting to sea with the ebb. Golfito is a former banana port that is slowly converting to tourism. It's well-known among cruisers as the last port of entry (and exit) before Panama. We were surprised at how relatively undeveloped it was—no high-rise hotels here.
