Goldmine trail, Shoal Bay, BC (July 2007)

Shoal Bay was once, they say, one of the largest towns in British Columbia. The reason was — you guessed it — gold.

The hike up to the goldmine is well-marked. It took John about three hours roundtrip, but he stops to take pictures, and we're all glad about that.
