Intrigued by the description in the Waggoner Guide, we went to Shoal Bay to check out the lodge. We planned to spend the night at anchor. We ended up spending three nights at the dock.

Even though we drug anchor and Solstice led John on a merry chase, we were charmed by the place and the people at the Shoal Bay Lodge. Mark (the owner), his dad, and his friends Donald and Christina (also sailors) made us feel at home. Of course, the beautiful weather we had while we were there added to the enchantment.
