Camaret-sur-Mer was recommended to us by a Dutch couple as a jumping off point for crossing the Bay of Biscay. In southern Brittany, Camaret is a low-key resort with summer homes owned mostly by Parisians, as far as we know. It doesn't have the same Breton flavor as Trégiuer to us, but the restaurants have the traditional food, and there are many Celtic flags.
People in the marina were friendly, which was good since we were there for six days. The annual blessing of the sea took place while we were there, and the Dutch couple showed up on their boat the day before we left.
