The Hague (Den Haag in Dutch) is the home of the Dutch parliament and the World Court. Somehow Shirlee missed visiting there 40 years ago, so we took the bus in from Scheveningen to see the sights.
The Peace Palace (home of the World Court) and parliament buildings were very impressive. Den Haag feels much different than Amsterdam. It's much less crowded, more spread out, and seems cleaner. That's probably because it gets fewer tourists. Its Gemeentemuseum (municipal museum) is first rate too.
