Helgoland, Germany (May 2009)
Helgoland is a red sandstone island in the North Sea NW of the Elbe River. Economically separate from the EU, it's a duty-free holiday escape for Germans. Boats were rafted five deep when we were there. We've heard that they are sometimes 20 deep.
