By tradition, boats passing through Horta leave behind a painting on the marina walls to commemorate their voyage. Some are quite elaborate and others very simple. Here's a sampling of paintings that caught John's eye. Most are boats we've never heard of or met, but a few we know of.
Shingebiss II, for example, is a Sceptre 43 that completed a 14-year circumnavigation in 2007.
