The sculptures in and around this fountain are in four groups: "The Bathing Ladies" (symbolizing the Flemish cities of Bruges, Ghent, Antwerp and Kortrijk), "Flemish Landscape," "The Fishermen," and "The Cyclists" (who abound here). Perched on a column above the rest is Tyl Uylenspiegel, the mythical prankster claimed by many Germanic countries under different spellings.
